Tokyo's baseball options
Tokyo and its surroundings offer more professional baseball options than almost any city on Earth. Within an hour of central Tokyo, you can watch 5 different NPB teams, each with their own unique stadium experience.
Tokyo Dome โ Yomiuri Giants
The most famous stadium in Japanese baseball. Located at Suidobashi Station (2 min walk), Tokyo Dome is a climate-controlled dome that's comfortable in any weather. Giants games are the most popular in NPB โ book tickets in advance for weekend games. The Dome Dog (jumbo hot dog) is a must-eat. Tokyo Dome City next door has rides and a spa.
Jingu Stadium โ Yakult Swallows
The best outdoor baseball experience in Tokyo. Near Gaienmae Station in the heart of Shibuya, Jingu offers summer night games under the stars with excellent craft beer. If the Swallows win, fans celebrate by waving small umbrellas to the Tokyo Ondo song. Tickets are easy to get and affordable (from ยฅ1,500).
Yokohama Stadium โ DeNA BayStars
Just 25 minutes from Tokyo Station by JR Keihin-Tohoku Line. The 2024 Japan Series champions play right next to Yokohama Chinatown โ the perfect combo of baseball and Chinese food. Kannai Station is a 2-minute walk.
Belluna Dome โ Seibu Lions
About 40 minutes from Ikebukuro. This unique semi-outdoor dome in the Sayama Hills (Totoro's forest!) offers the cheapest tickets in NPB (from ยฅ1,500). A nature-lovers' baseball experience.
ZOZOใใชใณในใฟใธใขใ โ Chiba Lotte Marines
30 minutes from Tokyo Station via JR Keiyo Line. Famous for intense fan culture, sea breeze, and spectacular post-game fireworks in summer.
