Indoor baseball in Japan's food capital

Vantelin Dome Nagoya (home of the Chunichi Dragons) offers weather-proof, comfortable baseball watching in one of Japan's most underrated food cities. The dome seats about 36,000 and is just 20 minutes from Nagoya Station by subway.

Getting there

5-minute walk from JR Ozone Station or Nagoya Dome-mae Yada Station (subway). From Nagoya Station, take the Meijo Line subway — about 20 minutes door to door.

Best seats for visitors

Panorama A seats

¥3,500-4,500 ($23-30). Excellent infield views, comfortable seating. The best all-around choice.

Outfield cheering section

¥1,500-2,000 ($10-13). Join the Dragons fans in their signature synchronized cheering.

Nagoya food inside the dome

Miso katsu sandwiches, tebasaki chicken wings, kishimen flat noodles — the dome serves all the Nagoya specialties. This is your chance to sample Nagoya's unique food culture without leaving the stadium.

After the game

Head back to Nagoya Station for hitsumabushi (grilled eel), miso nikomi udon (miso-stewed noodles), or Taiwan ramen at one of the many restaurants in the station complex.

How to buy tickets

Available through the Dragons official site. Nagoya is a major business travel destination — catching a game during a business trip is easy given the central location.
