At the stadium
Every NPB and J-League stadium has an official team shop near the main entrance. Selection is best on game days. Arrive 60-90 minutes before the game starts for the widest choice. Jerseys cost Β₯8,000-15,000 ($53-100). Towels (the most popular fan item) are Β₯1,500-2,500 ($10-17).
At train stations
Major stations near stadiums often have small official shops or pop-up stands on game days. Tokyo Station has shops for the Giants. Umeda Station area has Tigers merchandise.
Online (from Japan)
Each team has an official online store, but most are Japanese-only and ship domestically. Rakuten and Amazon Japan carry some team merchandise and can ship internationally through forwarding services.
What to buy
Towels
The universal fan accessory. Every team sells them, they're light to pack, and you'll use them during the game. Β₯1,500-2,500.
Replica jerseys
Full replicas with player names and numbers. NPB jerseys run Β₯8,000-12,000. J-League jerseys are Β₯8,000-15,000 depending on whether it's a replica or authentic version.
Caps and T-shirts
NPB team caps are Β₯3,000-4,000. T-shirts are Β₯2,500-4,000. Good souvenirs that don't take much luggage space.
Mini bats and megaphones
Plastic cheering bats (Β₯500-800) are specific to Japanese baseball and make a unique souvenir you can't get anywhere else.
