The easiest baseball day trip
Yokohama Stadium is just 25 minutes from Tokyo Station by JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, and literally across the street from Kannai Station. The 2024 Japan Series champions DeNA BayStars play right next to Yokohama Chinatown — Japan's largest and most famous Chinese quarter.

11:00 AM: Arrive in Yokohama, visit Cup Noodles Museum in Minato Mirai. 1:00 PM: Lunch in Chinatown — dim sum at Manchinro or all-you-can-eat at Yokohama Daihanten. 3:00 PM: Walk through Yamashita Park along the waterfront. 4:00 PM: Enter Yokohama Stadium (gates open). 6:00 PM: Night game. 9:15 PM: Post-game xiaolongbao at Hoten Ro in Chinatown (open late). 10:00 PM: Stroll the illuminated Minato Mirai waterfront.

After winning the 2024 Japan Series, BayStars popularity has exploded. The blue-and-white stadium atmosphere is electric, and the fans' victory song with sparkling effects is Instagram-worthy. Weekend games may sell out — book in advance.
Chinatown highlights
Over 500 restaurants and shops in a compact area. Street food favorites: steamed buns (nikuman), fried xiaolongbao, sesame balls, and bubble tea. For sit-down meals, Manchinro and Heichinrou are legendary Cantonese restaurants.

JR Kannai Station to Yokohama Stadium: 2-minute walk (the closest station-to-stadium connection in NPB after Belluna Dome). From Chinatown: 5-minute walk to the stadium.

This is arguably the best sports date in Japan. Baseball + Chinatown food + Minato Mirai night view. Budget: about ¥8,000-12,000 per person for the entire day including food, tickets, and transport from Tokyo.
