Yokohama's new basketball arena

Yokohama BUNTAI opened in 2024 as the new home of the Yokohama B-Corsairs. With a capacity of about 5,000 seats, it's a purpose-built arena that puts fans close to the court. The name "BUNTAI" comes from the Japanese word for "gymnasium" (taiikukan).

Capacity and layout

About 5,000 seats. The compact size means every seat has a clear view of the court. Arena seats (courtside) put you within arm's reach of the players. Upper stand seats are still close enough to follow every play without binoculars.

Getting there

JR Kannai Station: 5-minute walk. Yokohama Municipal Subway Kannai Station: 3-minute walk. From Tokyo Station: about 40 minutes by JR. The arena is in the same neighborhood as Yokohama Stadium (baseball) and Chinatown.

Combine with Yokohama sightseeing

Yokohama Chinatown (5 min walk), Yokohama Stadium for BayStars baseball (3 min walk), Minato Mirai waterfront (15 min walk). You can pack a full day of sports and sightseeing into one Yokohama trip.

How to buy tickets

Available through the B-Corsairs official site and B.LEAGUE ticket platform. At 5,000 seats, popular games can sell out, so book ahead for weekend matches.

Ticket prices

Stand seats: Β₯3,000-5,000 ($20-33). Arena seats: Β₯5,000-8,000 ($33-53). B.League games last about 2 hours, making them easy to fit into a Yokohama day trip.
