Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka
This 10,000-seat arena in Osaka's Minato ward hosts SV.League matches for two powerhouse teams: Suntory Sunbirds Osaka and Panasonic Panthers. It's one of Japan's largest volleyball venues.
Getting there
Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Asashiobashi Station โ the arena is right at the station exit. From Namba, it's about 15 minutes; from Umeda, about 20 minutes. Incredibly convenient for tourists staying in central Osaka.
Osaka derby
When Suntory Sunbirds face Panasonic Panthers, it's the Osaka volleyball derby โ one of the most exciting matches in the SV.League calendar. Both teams have long histories of success in Japanese volleyball.
After the match
The arena is centrally located, so all of Osaka's food districts are easily accessible. Dotonbori (30 minutes), Shinsekai (20 minutes), and Namba (15 minutes) all have incredible street food waiting for you.
