Koshien: Japan's most legendary stadium
Koshien Stadium, home of the Hanshin Tigers, is one of the most iconic sports venues in Japan. Located in Nishinomiya (between Osaka and Kobe), it's easy to reach from all major Kansai cities.
From Osaka (Umeda/Namba)
From Umeda: Take the Hanshin Main Line to Koshien Station (about 15 minutes, ยฅ280). From Namba: Take the Hanshin Namba Line directly to Koshien (about 20 minutes, ยฅ330). The stadium is a 3-minute walk from the station.
From Kyoto
Take JR to Osaka Station, then walk to Hanshin Umeda Station (5 minutes) and take the Hanshin Line to Koshien. Total travel time: about 60-75 minutes.
From Kobe (Sannomiya)
Take the Hanshin Main Line from Kobe-Sannomiya to Koshien (about 20 minutes, ยฅ310). Very convenient if you're staying in Kobe.
After the game: avoiding crowds
Koshien Station gets extremely crowded after Tigers games. Wait 15-20 minutes at the stadium before heading to the station, or walk to nearby Naruo Station (10 minutes) for a less crowded alternative.
