A brand new stadium in the heart of Hiroshima
Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima opened in February 2024 and represents the future of Japanese football stadiums. Located in central Hiroshima, it seats 28,500 in a football-specific design with every seat covered by a roof. It's home to Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Why it matters for tourists
Unlike many Japanese stadiums located in suburban areas, Peace Wing is in the city center β walking distance from the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and major shopping districts. You can combine football with Hiroshima's most important cultural sites in a single day.
Stadium features
All seats have roof coverage β no weather worries. The compact, steep design brings fans incredibly close to the pitch. Modern amenities include free Wi-Fi, barrier-free access, and high-quality food concessions.
Hiroshima food
Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (layered, not mixed like Osaka-style), grilled oysters from the Seto Inland Sea, and local craft beer. The stadium food reflects Hiroshima's excellent culinary scene.
