Football under the cherry blossoms
Yodoko Sakura Stadium β named for the cherry trees that surround it β is a 24,000-seat football-specific venue in Osaka's Higashisumiyoshi Ward. Home to Cerezo Osaka, it combines intimate football viewing with one of Japan's most food-obsessed cities.
The Cerezo experience
Cerezo (Spanish for "cherry blossom") are one of Osaka's two J-League clubs, the other being Gamba Osaka. The Osaka Derby between these two teams is one of J-League's most heated rivalries. Cerezo's pink-and-navy colors create a distinctive visual identity in Japanese football.
Getting there
JR Hanwa Line to Tsurugaoka Station β 5-minute walk. From Namba, about 20 minutes by train. From Shin-Osaka Station (bullet train), about 30 minutes.
Seats and prices
The football-specific design means excellent views from every section. Main stand: Β₯4,000-5,500 ($27-37). Back stand: Β₯2,500-3,500 ($17-23). Goal end: Β₯2,000-3,000 ($13-20).
