Three food zones
Eating at a Frontale match isn't just about stadium stalls. The food ecosystem has three layers, and experienced fans hit all three.
Zone 1: Inside the stadium
Yamada Udon (permanent stall, Main Stand Gate 5): Famous for "Punch" β their name for stewed offal (motsu-ni). Get it as udon, soba, on rice, or just the Punch by itself as a drinking snack. The Punch-only option is the veteran move.
Other permanent options: hot dogs (Β₯700+), yakisoba (Β₯550), potato wedges (Β₯400), churros (Β₯600). F Sweets sells a strawberry parfait (Β₯700) and Fron Glaize β a blue-colored sweet bread that's become Instagram-famous among Frontale fans (Β₯300).
Zone 2: Fron Park (outdoor event area)
Adjacent to the stadium. Opens hours before kickoff. This is where the magic happens. Kawasaki restaurants rotate weekly with match-day-exclusive menus. Burgers, Thai food, Indian curry, Vietnamese pho, kebabs, beef stew, fried chicken in multiple flavors. The Hire Katsu Sand (Β₯600) β a pork cutlet sandwich β is a fan favorite. Player-curated bento boxes (Β₯1,100) sell out within an hour.
Zone 3: Station area
Musashi-Kosugi area: Menya Deko (niboshi ramen, Β₯1,000) β a legit ramen shop, not stadium food. Bakeries in the Beans station building for portable snacks. Musashi-Nakahara area: convenience stores and small eateries near the closest station. Shin-Maruko area: a quiet shopping street with takeout-friendly options.
The recommended route
Arrive 2 hours before kickoff. Grab something light near the station. Walk to the stadium. Hit Fron Park for your main meal. Enter the stadium. Get Yamada Udon Punch as your halftime snack. Budget: Β₯2,500-3,500 ($17-23) total.
