The J1 surprise package
FC Machida Zelvia earned promotion to J1 in 2024 and immediately made an impact with their direct, physical style. Their home, Machida GION Stadium, is a compact venue in Machida City, western Tokyo.
Getting there
By train + bus
Odakyu Line to Tsurukawa Station, then bus (about 15 minutes). From Shinjuku, the Odakyu Line takes 30 minutes to Tsurukawa. JR Yokohama Line to Kobuchi Station, then bus (about 20 minutes).

By car
Tomei Expressway Yokohama-Machida IC, about 15 minutes. Parking is limited β public transport recommended.
The stadium
About 15,000 seats. Small and compact, which means excellent atmosphere for its size. The stands are close to the pitch and the fans are loud. J1 regulations have driven facility upgrades.

Main stand: Β₯3,500-5,000 ($23-33). Back stand: Β₯2,500-3,500 ($17-23). Goal end: Β₯2,000-2,500 ($13-17).
